Welcome to the exciting world of visual design! In this class, you will learn the basics of Canva, one of the most popular graphic design platforms available. Whether you're looking to create stunning graphics for personal or professional projects, this class will provide you with all the tools you need to get started.
You will be guided through the user-friendly interface of Canva, helping you understand its various features and capabilities. You will learn how to use templates, add text, upload images, and create custom graphics. We'll also cover some of the more advanced features of Canva, such as creating charts and graphs, designing presentations, and more. This class is perfect for anyone with an interest in visual design who is new to Canva.
Open to ages 12 and up.

Catie has been coming to Nantucket since she was sixteen to work odd jobs and volunteer for the Nantucket Film Festival. After graduating from Florida State University with a BFA in Creative Writing, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she worked as a production coordinator and writer for the live comedy sketch show TMI Hollywood. Catie worked as a production coordinator on several short films, including the Nantucket Shorts Festival 2019 winner TIOLI Revolt: We’re Not Going to Take It (Or Leave It). In 2020, Catie returned to the island and soon joined the team at NCTV18. She is also one of the key producers for the station’s newest original program, Nantucket Life.
